Sim #2 saw both the Silver Atlas and Silver Goat standings get new names at the top. More importantly, we at The Watch celebrate the first balkoff in quite a while.
The Walkoff Watch Terminology
balkoff When a pitcher balks in the winning run.
derpoff When a pitcher walks in the winning run, hits a batter with the bases full, or the winning run scores due to a wild pitch or error.
200-proof walkoff When the home team scores in the bottom of a previous inning to extend the game and then scores with a walkoff in a subsequent inning.
pimpoff When the home team scores a walkoff following the visiting team tying the game to cause extra innings (or more extra innings) or scoring what would have been the winning run if the home team hadn’t responded.

- Buffalo (3-0) went 2-0 in walkoffs while Atlantic City (1-1) split a pair.
- Greenville (1-3) dropped 2 walkoffs.
- Halifax’ Gilberto Pacheco delivered his 2nd walkoff of the young season to move into a tie atop the Silver Atlas standings.
- Greenville’s Ernie von Schledorn III gave up 2 walkoffs in Sim #2 to take sole possession of first place in the race for the Silver Goat trophy.
- Meanwhile, Calgary’s José Sánchez actually BALKED in a walkoff run for our first derpoff of 2024 and the first balkoff since 2022.
