Heh, my previous theory that eating innings causes pitchers to be overrated by this metric (Alexander Swanson #19) is confirmed now that I've acquired Leland Rogers and see him listed #62. He's better than his record indicates but he is not a #2 starter.

Two of the top twelve, three of the top 18, four of the top 37, five of the top 70, and our long reliever is ranked 223. By tier (groups of 32), that's three tier ones, one tier two, and one tier three.

Our starters were top drawer. Our bullpen was not. We intend to remedy that.

I thought the MLB trade deadline was interesting because teams largely avoided starters and over paid for RP. I wonder if we are going to see it carry over into Free Agency and RP will end up getting paid more than starters. The game is totally different than it was like 10 years ago. I would not be shocked at anything anymore.

I struggle constantly with trying to adapt to modern mlb here because I hate the current strategies used there with the passion of a thousand burning suns.

It was both in jest but also what I discovered by using it in this league and others. I used my "starters" for less than 5 innings and leaned heavily on my bullpen this last season. It worked to a certain extent but couldn't hold up against teams with better quality pitching.
