Defensive Runs Saved 2046

Post by Jwalk100 » Thu Apr 01, 2021 7:24 pm

First base-

Aldo has made a jump with his defense at first base. Last season he played about half the time at second base but his glove shines at first.

At a distant second place on this list is Cougar Rookie Erik Wignes. Wignes doesn't have greta power offensively but he is reliable at 1B and gets on base.

Close behind Wignes is veteran Quant Kouros. Kouros struggled in 2045 but has bounced back this season and he may produce 3+ WAR.

Second Base-

Henri Charriere lead this group by a good margin. Charriere posted a 4.1 WAR last season slashing just .222./.336/.358. This season he has improved at the plate. He has slashed .249/.357/.369 with an OPS+ of 98. He may put a 5 WAR when the season is over.

Enrique Hernandez trails Charriere buy 6+ runs but is putting up better numbers at the plate. He is having the best season of his career so far slashing .260/.320/.383 with 3 homers and 5 SB. He has put up a career high 2 WAR so far this season.

Edgardo Encarnacion sounds out the top 3 a bit over a run behind Hernandez. Encarnacion has hit .284 with 2 homers and 18 SB so far this season posting a 1.7 WAR.

3B-

Nashville's Tony Frost tops the list of third basemen so far this season. The 2044 FL Charles Puckett Golden Bat at 3B not only tear the cover off the ball but flashes the leather. Frost has good range at third with soft hands and a rifle arm. He is heading for another 5+ WAR season.

The San Antonio Outlaws 3B Lucio Cuellar is close behind Frost. Cuellar Not quite the prototypical power hitter at a corner position, Cuellar makes consistent conact and gets on base. His eye is suspect but he is enjoying his best season since 2043. Cuellar is another good range and strong armed third baseman that already has a Yogi Zimmer Diamond Glove on his mantle.

Jeremy Pickens, Alex Ramirez and Mal Fountain round out this group within a few hundredths of each other.

Great feature despite being produced by the GM of a despicable franchise.

Life is a bit more beautiful when time is measured by the half inning rather than the half hour.

Did you mean to put this on one of the pitching features?
