I have a few ideas on what I will do in the upcoming weeks for the Random BBA Graph of the week, but I would like to see of there is anything out there topics / ideas / etc. you'd like to see me do on the BBA Data that hasn't been covered yet. We have a wealth of data (50+ years) to play with. Just reply back to this thread and let me know. Don't be shy!!
I'll try to be up for your challenges...

Comparison of stats between regular season and postseason games

Re: Taking input for a upcoming BBA Random Graph of the week
I'm interested to see if there is large variations in batting average, OB%, and slugging from the regular season versus the postseason. By team would be fine, I suppose, to see a larger picture. But, I'd love to see just the last 5 years for individual ballplayers.

Re: Taking input for a upcoming BBA Random Graph of the week
I’m up for the challenge...let me finish up with the other BBA effort I’m doing for the league - ur next in the queue
I will put a lot of filter options so you can select just what you want: I’ve got the data up to 2040 season - so it should not be too difficult

Here's one I'd be interested in: which hitters lead the league in pitches per plate appearance? In other words, who makes pitchers work the hardest and run up their pitch counts? I don't know if there's historical data available on this, but even a current season breakdown (it's a sortable stat) would be cool to see.

Re: Taking input for a upcoming BBA Random Graph of the week
Thanks for this, Ron. I was kind of envisioning one of Mike's deluxe graphs where you could sort by team, etc., but this is certainly interesting in its own right!RonCo wrote: ↑Fri Feb 14, 2020 11:41 amStraight from the game...players with 140 AB or more...HoosierVic wrote: ↑Fri Feb 14, 2020 11:20 amHere's one I'd be interested in: which hitters lead the league in pitches per plate appearance? Re: Taking input for a upcoming BBA Random Graph of the week
I’ve been working with AzAxle and OOTP dev to get me the info for delineating playoff vs non playoff - I was just whispering him tonight on twitchshoeless.db wrote: ↑Wed Feb 12, 2020 9:07 amI'm interested to see if there is large variations in batting average, OB%, and slugging from the regular season versus the postseason.
