PPT Reward - Proneness Reduction

Post by RonCo » Thu Dec 28, 2023 2:15 pm

After writing my bit on Grham Aubry, it strikes me that with injuries on "realistic" we're getting more players dinged up. I think that's good overall. I do worry a bit that the OOTP injury proneness parameter is a bit too harsh, though. Whatever, really. But it also strikes me that the ability to send a player to PT/Strength training in the off season to try to train better injury prevention would be both useful for saving careers of favorite players, and a way to increase levels of fun for GMs who have those favorite players pushed off a cliff.

No idea of what it should cost, but as I recall proneness is on a 1-200 scale.

Perhaps something along the lines of (just making these up as I go):

- Any player can only be adjusted once in their career
- The player must be 30 years old or younger
- Proneness can be dropped at a point/PPT spent
- Proneness can never be adjusted below 50 on the 1-200 scale?

Thoughts?

I like this. I would probably say that in addition to the can't go below 50, it should also be capped as far as how much it can be reduced.

I suggested this years ago and I'm still a big fan of this reward. You have my full support. PRP injections have to be commonplace in 2057.

Yeah. I'd suggest 70 simply because it's the same number as coach things and attribute things. But any semi-reasonable number would add fun. :)

Specifically they're trying to un-give you a coronary with PPT. I think.

given how transformative not getting injured is, this should be expensive to do IMO

like the idea if there is a high cost or a limitation on how many of these you can do per season.
