Team Options with No Buyouts

Post by bcslouck » Wed Feb 28, 2018 6:32 pm

Can we get rid of them? I've seen them multiple times and have meant to post this before. Team options should have some sort of buyout. Also not a fan of team option before player options/opt-outs, but monitoring contracts can get difficult.

I just want OOTP to figure options out in general. Players shouldn't accept $0 buyouts or execute their opt-outs and then sign for less money than they already opted out of; realizing that player options are more valuable than no options and no options are more valuable than team options. On and on and on with options in OOTP.

Yeah, it is a mechanic that needs to be fixed in some way.

Matt, is OOTP 19 fixing letting you know if the team option was declined as well? Seems it just says they became free agents. I know you missed it on my 2 guys but it'd be easy to miss without someone pointing it out.

That would be amazing. This loophole has been around 3 versions now.

Also, can you put a bug in their ear about being able to decline team options at more times than just the one day you get an email?
