The same sim as all the brouhaha I signed three years extensions to Wayne the Bat Bruce and SP Antonio Estrada, but I sure couldn't undercut what they were asking for by millions a year. I guess because I didn't do this early enough. Maybe it didn't dawn on me to take advantage of the exploit. Or I didn't know it was there. This might add weight to the suggestion to just allow these extensions in the final year.

You know those extensions are really not terrible. They just look bad compared to some of the sweet deals that have been going around.

That's because Wayne and Estrada have already gone to arbitration. Additionally, comparing the Estrada deal isn't actually a straight-line comparison, since Estrada is 29.

I still don't understand what happened with Bartolo Melendez.

Andrew Ivey got over 4 million in arbitration this season. In order for me to extend him, he wanted 7. Where does he compare to these guys? His greed and loyalty are both LOW.

OOTP extensions have been broken basically forever.

There are different systems that work in limiting them, but there's no sure-fire "fix".
Phoenix Talons, 1987-1994 (614-682, .474). 1993 JL Wildcard Winner.
Atlantic City Gamblers, 2010-2030. 2022 MBWBA Champions. '10, '15, '22, '23, '25, '28 FLA Champions. 2010, 2024 FL Cartwright Cup Winners.

At this point, it is what it is.

Here's the basic primer for everyone:

1) Go to your Salaries screen on HTML.
2) See the arbitration estimate.
3) Offer about that much per year.
4) They'll nearly always take it.

There, now everyone is on the same page.
