As a rule, I'd be very hesitant to back the addition of non-writing PPT rewards.

Agree with Morris above. I'd prefer not to give out PPT for in-game success, but I'm very much on board with any scheme to allow for more nicknaming of players.

My preference would be for the winner of the minor league championship series to be given the option to nickname any player from either team who participated in the series (the re-nicknaming of custom ammy's being the exception).

Another wild idea for a reward might be a free contract extension for the minor league manager who won it.

I understand the reason for no PPT.

I’m not sure about nicknaming players on the other team. That could/would definitely be abused. I really don’t want my star CF to be know as the “Dayton Dahmer” because his Short A team lost in the playoffs one year.

How about one free nickname for each minor league team that makes the playoffs and an extra one if you win the championship? Maybe an article is required as part of it?

You should always be required to post a TN explaining a nickname.

My take is this all sounds fun but more effort than its worth from our commish.

Not sure where the extra effort comes from, its literally a text box on the player editor page. Matt changes dozens of work ethics, etc every offseason. What's 5 more nicknames a year?

Every MiL champion gets one nickname. That's it. AAA, AA, A, S A, and R. Five per year.

It's just a little fun. Not meant to create work or be a competitive advantage.

Commish has to document who wins each minor league, make a post requesting the changes, monitor replies from the GMs... nothing done to the game outside the game is without some amount of effort

I'd say its up to the MiL GM to request. They may choose not to.

But, for sure, anything that requires keystrokes should be approved by Matt. He does do the work.

Being as I just won the championship in S A, I am all for some sort of small reward lol. Kind of agree with Morris though on not allowing ppt rewards for in game success.
