What interests you about the BBA?: Love the writing requirements and the Participation Points System. The league I'm in now is fun, but we only have about 5 or so of us that actually communicate regularly in Slack. Looking for more of a community, which BBA seems to have.
Describe your GM style: As a Pirates fan, it's been tough to shake the small market mentality. I got the Brewers in my other league which allowed me to continue the small market approach, with a little bit more money. With that said, I do tend to have a more homegrown roster, that I supplement through free agency. I don't make huge splashes in free agency or make blockbuster trades to bring in stars. Unlike the Pirates, I will try to extend my stars. But if we can't come to an agreement, I will shop them for prospects when they near the end of their deal.

Tell us more about yourself: 27 years old, originally from Northern VA. I grew up a Pittsburgh fan in every sport. So my college decision may have been slightly influenced by my sports fandom. I ended up at the University of Pittsburgh for four years, where I got a degree in Finance and Supply Chain Management, and continued living in the city for three years after graduation. While living in the city, I got to go see multiple live NFL and NHL playoff games, but sadly, $200 to see the 2014 and 2015 WC Games was a little too rich for a college freshman/sophomore. I then got married in 2021 and moved back to VA with my wife. We live in the mountains and enjoy hiking/fishing/kayaking.

First/Last Name: Zach HalversonI'm a committed OOTP online player. This would only be my second league. I joined my first online league in 2021 and I am still in that league. While I'm somewhat new to OOTP, I'm a diehard Pirates fan (If that doesn't tell you I love baseball, I don't know what does) and have been closely following drafts, prospects, roster moves, etc. since about 2013; so these aren't new concepts to me. In my other online league, I have kept the Brewers (started with 2021 rosters) in the the playoff hunt (only four teams make the playoffs in this league) for eight straight seasons.
As for writing requirements, I don't have too much of a background. But I did get an A in a college writing class, writing solely about baseball.
