Application from Mike Neugebauer - New Applicant

Post by Anonymous » Sat Jun 18, 2022 3:06 pm

A user, Mike Neugebauer, has applied with the following information using the application form.
Real name: Mike Neugebauer
IP: 184.83.196.180
Email: neugey24@yahoo.com
Applying for: New Applicant
Reason for applying:
I've been playing simulation sports games on and off since the mid 90's. My starting point was APBA Baseball for Windows and Front Page Sports Football Pro 98. The latter was huge for me, as I played in my first online leagues as coach of the Syracuse Orangemen and Detroit Lions. I enjoy competing, writing, relaxing and joking around in OOTP online leagues. I've essentially retired from all other video games and OOTP is all I play anymore. Over the past 4 years I've spent some time on and off as an OOTP beta tester and am pretty familiar with the game as a whole. I enjoy role-playing as a GM in an online league that has a social element. I have yet to make the playoffs or win a championship in online play, but maybe someday I'll break through. Also, the more I do it, the more I am enjoying online writing. For example here is a game-of-the-week write-up I did just a few days ago for my first league: https://pinnaclebaseballassn.proboards. ... eek-29-mia
First/Last Name: Mike Neugebauer

Have you read the BBA Constitution and agree to abide by its rules?: Yes
Do you own the current version of OOTP, and plan to buy all future versions?: Yes
Do you understand the Participation Point System, and agree to be a regular contributor to our community?: Yes
What interests you about the BBA?: The rich history and the writing involvement of Brewsters' interests me. I enjoy researching/writing for my other leagues. After I retire I am considering becoming a writer, so I think this is a good habit/hobby.
Describe your GM style: I enjoy developing talent using the draft and farm system, and keep a close eye on my minor league rosters/lineups as well as the majors.
Have you ever answered to the alias "Al Hoot"? (a little BBA inside joke!): No, but I suppose I could learn to LOL.
Tell us more about yourself: I am married and have two college-aged daughters. I enjoy playing tennis and shooting pool in my free time and am a big New Orleans Saints fan.

Bienvenue! My first NFL game was at the Superdome against the Seahawks in 1991. I remember they had an awesome start to that season.

I would like the record to clearly state I’m from the superior Dakota to the north of the desolate wasteland that is South Dakota.

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome! Good to know we've got both Dakota's staked out now for the BBA. And I'm not the only person in South Dakota - I can take a picture next time at the Chic Fil A drive thru line if you don't believe me!

Looks like I've taking over in London and will get settled in later today.
