First/Last Name: Jim SladeI've been an active participant in another OOTP league, SDMB (I know the first part stands for Straight Dope; I believe the second half is Message Board, the platform on which the co-commissioners met and founded the league, I believe, 15 years ago), since January 2020. I was trying to recruit old friend Mike Dunn for our league, only to learn he was in this league. He talked up your qualities, and I'm interested.
I just wrapped up my 4th season, and love the game. Like your league, it's entirely fictional, which ties in my childhood of creating and managing fictional leagues. I enjoy the creativity and community building aspects of the league along with the "projections" I can make from managing my team. That is, I'll be sizing up a fictional player's qualities and ratings and project to a real-life player from my youth. Although I am a lifelong Phillies fan, my team is this other league is my laboratory for re-creating the early '70s Pirates team, The Lumber Company, which showed me how the game could be played while I waited for my hometown team to grow up.

Have you ever answered to the alias "Al Hoot"? (a little BBA inside joke!): Never
