Application Again

Post by Chey » Tue Dec 23, 2014 2:34 pm

Name (first and last for in-game entry): Adam Dee
Email: adam@partytowne.ca
AIM ID: adam@partytowne.ca
Date of Birth: September 29, 1992
Occupation: Youth worker and comedian.
Location: Edmonton, Alberta
Other OOTP Leagues (with links): None right now.
Do you own OOTP13, and plan to buy future versions? I have OOTP15, and yep.
We have a Participation Point System to foster activity. Cool with this? Understand this completely? Sure do, writing and community participation is the main attraction of MBWBA.
Willing to troll the boards and participate in polls? You bet.
Have you read and understand the MBWBA League Constitution? Sure have.
What interests you about the MBWBA? The active community and immersive nature of the whole deal. The league I'm currently in is fine, but the writing and participation is very much secondary to the game itself (which isn't inherently bad, but makes for a whole lot of people doing the bare minimum at the last minute). I've been inventing fictional sports leagues, teams, players and narratives in my head and on paper for as long as I can remember; as soon as I discovered OOTP and the idea of a league like the MBWBA, I knew I wanted to be a part of it.
Do you have any weird OOTP quirks that we should know about - like you don't believe in making trades? Not that I know of!
What other hobbies do you have? Big sports fan: Oilers, Badgers, Tottenham and Cubs! Other than that (and sports games like OOTP and FM), I'm a fairly active stand-up comic, I perform 2-5 nights a week around town (so this is somewhere between hobby and side-job)

Sorry I dropped off the face of the Earth a while back, had family stuff that came up. I was always watching the emails I got about league openings, waiting for one to come along I could actually take responsibly! I'd wondered why they stopped coming, and I realized my account had been deleted for inactivity. I'm back now though, and pretty confident I have the time to commit here.

Haha, don't get me started on the Oilers.

Five years ago I couldn't have begun to care about baseball (or any sport besides hockey for that matter). But Edmonton's dismal performance over the past decade has led me to spend more and more time on different sports and sports teams. So, I guess I have the Oilers to thank for my baseball fandom!

Hello again friends. My previous stint as a manager in this league, with the Chicago Black Sox, was an unqualified disaster. I responded to an email from Recte despite being a little unsure about my availability -- I'd recently taken on a new job alongside my old one, and was in school at night to boot.

Since then I've graduated, and am down to a single employer (for whom I work from home, and would have plenty of time to keep up with MBWBA). I would love to be considered for any openings within the league, should you guys be willing to give me a second chance. I remain as fascinated by baseball and fictional leagues as I've ever been.

Welcome. Did you participate in the Cuban Revolution? Are you friends with Castro? Does that mean you are great at scouting our neighbor 90 miles off Florida?

You're thinking of Che, the revolutionary. Chey with a y just likes sports and hamburgers.
