Do you own OOTP12, and plan to buy future versions? yes
We have a Participation Point System to foster activity. Cool with this? Understand this completely? I am getting up to date with this right now.
Willing to troll the boards and participate in polls? yes
Have you read and understand the MBBA League Constitution? currently reading
What interests you about the MBBA? I want to join a great, ongoing fictional OOTP league that has lots of depth and tradition. I love the OOTP format and guarantee you'd be getting an active, enthusiastic member.
Do you have any weird OOTP quirks that we should know about - like you don't believe in making trades? I love historical-fictional leagues. I love low injuries. :)
What other hobbies do you have? I do yahoo fantasy baseball and hockey. In each sport, I commission two leagues. I have been active in "fantasy baseball" since I played play-by-mail leagues with the APBA board game (pre-PC). My all time favorite player is Phil Niekro, whose autograph I got on July 4, 1984, the night he struck out his 3000th batter. I attended the 1972 All Star Game with my dad and brother. We moved to Texas a couple years later. I am still a Braves fan and also a longtime Rangers fan. I've been following the NHL since the year after the strike (four or five seasons).

I am an avid movie fan. I love traveling and dabbling in foreign languages.

EDIT TO ADD: I was a 11-year old fan in Atlanta (charting Hank Aaron's home runs) when I heard about the so-called trial run idea about a "designated hitter." (What the heck?!) I am still waiting for that trial run to be over and the A.L. get back to playing real baseball.

Cool - love to hear them.

When I was 16 I inherited a team in DUBL, an awesome APBA league. And the team happened to have Knucksie on it. That summer I attended the league convention in Philadelphia-and a couple of us went to Lancaster to see the APBA headquarters. I think this was my first solo trip away from home.

Last year I introduced my teenage son to the APBA dice game, a demo copy in a board gaming store; I think it was 52 Dodgers and Yanks.

So you still roll?

I had my stuff put away for years but got it out once I had some free time this spring. Got my 7-year-old in to it - figured it can help his math skills and learn baseball as well...

Definitely. That's a great age to start as a fan!

We just played a quick series in the store. But it was great looking at the old boards and cards. Despite a near two-decade hiatus, I still had some of the die-roll results memorized, or a lot game to my head as we played.

Yes, I did, as a matter of fact, and I didn't feel guilty at all. I mean, because I didn't hurt anyone I don't understand why it should be illegal. And yeah I play teenagers in a lot of my movies; what do you want me to play -- a judge?
