Do you own the current version of OOTP, and plan to buy all future versions?: Yes, and I do though I generally wait for a sale due to being vastly more interested in fictional sims than the accurate MLB rosters that are often a big reason for day one purchases.
Do you understand the Participation Point System, and agree to be a regular contributor to our community?: Yes.
What interests you about the BBA?: The league's own history, the almanac and effort put in by all participants. I've kept extensive notes on my own sims before, and it's nice to see others with the commitment to immersion/general nerdiness.
Describe your GM style: General incompetence? More seriously, I try and take a vaguely sabermetric apporach. I'm generally pretty trade shy and like to build talent from within. I'm always massively indecisive about when the right time to "blow up" a team is, and would suggest that's my biggest shortcoming as an OOTP player.
Have you ever answered to the alias "Al Hoot"? (a little BBA inside joke!): Alas, no.
Tell us more about yourself: British born and raised, became familiar with baseball after living in Peterborough, Ontario for a year whilst studying. Got to a couple of Jays games and was intrigued by the stats side, which a university roommate of mine explained in detail. Was aware of OOTP prior to this, but downloaded at his encouragement.
How did you hear about the BBA?: Looking at leagues to take the plunge with, this one stuck out on the OOTP forums.
