New Applicant: Evan Darrow
First Name: Evan
Last Name: Darrow
City: Homeland
State: CA
Country: US
Email: emdarrow@gmail.com
Desired Username: EMDarrow
Date of Birth (MM/DD/YY) for in-game purposes: 2/24/1979
Occupation: Computer/Network Technician
Other OOTP Leagues (with links): Never joined an OOTP league, but Ive been playing with them off and on for years.
I dont actually own the most current version of OOTP, but I do own '17 and '18.
I have read the BBA Constitution and agree to abide by its rules.: checked
I own the current version of OOTP, and plan to buy all future versions.: checked
I understand the Participation Point system, and agree to be a contributor on a regular basis to our community.: checked
What interests you about the Brewster Baseball Association?: I'm not sure I'd be interested in joining the league- and I'd be surprised if I'd be allowed if I wanted to- but I thought it might be fun to say hi, and get a forum account to reconnect a bit.
Do you have any weird OOTP or GM quirks- like you don't believe in making trades, for example?: Would having a demerit system named after me count as a GM quirk?
Have you ever answered to the alias "Al Hoot"? (Don't worry, this is just an inside thing that amuses us.): I was told not to be a donut once or twice.
Tell us more about yourself!: I first joined the NACBA in the mid 90s. I don't recall when exactly, but I couldn't have been more than 15 years old or so. At the time, I was completely obsessed with baseball and especially baseball statistics, so the league seemed a perfect fit.
My interest in computers grew steadily to the point where they dominated my teen years, became a side income, and finally a career. I still live in Southern California, though I've done a fair amount of moving around the state since my days in the league. I have a very long term girlfriend (7 years) and no children, though I have enough dogs and a large boa constrictor that fill that role to some extent.

Welcome to our forum!
You seem very smart as I am not even sure what a demerit system is and you have one named after you. On a side note, I am deathly afraid of snakes(like literally my #1 fear besides like death or my kids getting hurt) so I am not sure exactly how to feel about you lol.

Re: New Applicant: Evan Darrow
A demerit system sounds like a black mark thing and I’m not sure I’d be so proud of being a “you fucked up system” named after me lol

Can we get Will/Bill whatever his name was? The guy who was in the league for 30 seasons and every email he sent started, "Which team are you again?"recte44 wrote:RIGHT? Who's next.....KURT RISING?????

Hey all!
I stumbled on you all and saw there were more than a few familiar names, so I figured I'd stop in and say hi. Trying to connect the dots of when I joined, the first time was probably about '95-96, right around when the NACBA hit the internet. Second time I seem to recall talking about moving to OOTP, which was brand new at that time, but we were still running FPS, so... 1999/2000 I'd guess?

Then Jayne would not be a good place to start, he's about '7-8 long and about as big around as a baseball bat . That said he's a giant puppy dog, so he's really not threatening.niles08 wrote:I am deathly afraid of snakes(like literally my #1 fear besides like death or my kids getting hurt) so I am not sure exactly how to feel about you lol.
I wouldnt say Im proud of it, but we're also talking what, 20-25 years ago? Kinda water under the bridge at this point lolFat Nige wrote:A demerit system sounds like a black mark thing and I’m not sure I’d be so proud of being a “you fucked up system” named after me
