My manager wants to run a team? Isn't that a conflict of interest?

Not just Illinois, but central Illinois, there place where six months out of the year minimum, we wonder why we continue to live here. No culture, no entertainment, mediocre food, flat land as far as the eye can see, except when it's interrupted by corn, soybeans, and the occasional windmill. Good thing Illinois is an efficiently run state with an effective governme ... um no. Okay. Well, the taxes are ... ugh. Well, people want to live here. Wait. Fastest population decline in the US you say? Well, the weather is ..... :bag:

THanks Boys. SOmeone point me to what this UMEBA is? I dont see anything about it in the rules? Im gathering its some sort of a new league/proving ground? I wouldn't mind running a team there if I knew what was going on while i wait for a spot in the big show.

I'll just post here as it's good info for everyone.

The UMEBA is an independent, though affiliated league within the BBA universe. The league has it's own amateur draft, and in the future will have what we call a Rule 6 draft, wherein BBA teams may select the rights to UMEBA players who have reached a certain age and/or service time. If said player signs with a BBA team, the UMEBA team will be compensated.

As far as the GM's go, it is a feeder league of sorts. When a BBA team becomes available the Governing Board and/or Commissioner may select a UMEBA GM to take over the BBA team. There is no formal selection process at this time, but rather GMs will be evaluated on the following:

Writing Contributions
Forum Activity
Export Percentage
Information provided on application
Prior involvement in the BBA

Feel free to reach out to me in this thread, or via PM, email, or slack with any further questions.
