Name (first and last for in-game entry): Bill Thomas
Email: bswearingen14@gmail.com
Google Talk ID:
Date of Birth (for in-game use): 9/28/1987
Occupation: Human Resources
Location: Los Angeles, CA
Other OOTP Leagues (with links): None, I'm a newbie.
Do you own OOTP15, and plan to buy future versions? Yep!
We have a Participation Point System to foster activity. Cool with this? Understand this completely? Yes
Willing to troll the boards and participate in polls? Yes
Have you read and understand the MBWBA League Constitution? Yes
What interests you about the MBWBA? I want to be part of a fictional league with interesting rules and active owners. Plus, something about the MBWBA reminds me of the High Heat All Star League, which was a lot of fun almost a decade ago.
Do you have any weird OOTP quirks that we should know about - like you don't believe in making trades? I don't like trading away my top prospects, so you're not likely to see me involved in blockbuster trades when my team is doing well. The prospects are mine, all mine, do you hear me?
Have you ever answered to the alias "Al Hoot"? (Don't worry, this is just an inside thing that amuses us.) No.
Tell us more about yourself! I've been a diehard Giants fan since I was in first grade and I've been obsessed with baseball transactions for most of my life. I rarely admit it, but I find the offseason transactions as exciting as any other aspect of baseball. I graduated from law school a couple of years ago but ran away from the legal field after graduation because I couldn't handle the hours and the stress. Now I'm back to enjoying life because I finally have time to do all of the things I wanted to do for the past few years, like joining an OOTP league!

Re: Application
Welcome Bill- we're glad to have you and we're newbie friendly. There's League Directors (trmmilwwi and mrbornac) whose main responsibility is to help you, answer questions and guide you through. Also, I've been caretaking the Crusaders so I have some ideas as to how to dig out of your current financial hole and save the future of the club that I'd be glad to discuss with you at length in private.
I can totally relate to being obsessed with transactions. I'm the kind of guy who when playing solo in OOTP or Madden, etc., fast sims through the regular season because I find the front office aspect of building a team in the offseason so interesting.
We're happy to have you. Comment a little bit, and we'll be happy to give you a shot at being the GM of the California Crusaders!
What kind of questions do you have up front since this will be your first online league experience?

Well, as a peace offering I'll admit that I'm so impressed by what Kershaw is doing that I plan on going to a Dodgers game to see him next year. The real question is UCLA, USC, or neither?Yes sir...since birth!
