Nice start for the Wolves while letting the reserves start. Pretty good performances by some guys battling for a spot on the roster. 9-5 sim.
In other news, Jim Brochtrup retired. What a 180 of a career. The Wolves acquired him in a blockbuster move that helped lead us to the title in 2004. In 2005, he was 11-1 before suffering a season ending injury. He signed an extension that year and his career went south in a hurry. His ratings lumped terribly, he was traded to New Orleans where he suffered another long term injury. This time it forced him to retire. MBWBA champion to retiring within 2 years.

Re: Spring Training Sim #1 Chatter
So so sim, but ST is basically meaningless.
No injuries = good.
Fifth starter job is up for grabs behind Sargent, Wookey, Nichols, and Jones.
Can Vadabonceour come back from his injury?
Cam Gumdrop continue to pitch well enough to hold the job?

No injuries this time around, so I guess that's a plus.

Yeah. Sad that Brochtrup retured. My pitching staff is TERRIBLE, and i was hoping to milk another year or so out of Brochtrup. Guess not. At least i dont have to pay his salary (i think). Now i am grasping at Nebraska to help me out....some day i will get a decent staff here in NO.7teen wrote:Nice start for the Wolves while letting the reserves start.
