McNamara Leaves Team After Wife Dies Unexpectedly
Monday, February 14th, 2005: Sad news out of Baltimore today. Aiden McNamara has left the team indefinitely after the sudden passing of his wife. When pressed for comment, Monarchs manager Travis McDermott said: "Aiden is obviously very shaken by this, and he has already left for home to be with his family and take care of the business he needs to take care of. I told him to take all the time he needs. He will give a statement when he's ready to return."

McNamara Returns To Team, Looking Ahead
Thursday, February 17th, 2005: Ten days after Aiden McNamara left the Monarchs after the sudden passing of his wife, Aiden has returned with his head high.

"I have come to terms with what has happened, and I must focus on the future. My wife was everything to me and will always be a part of me. But I know, wherever she is, she wouldn't want me to lose myself over this. Everyday, I will work and play hard, because I know that's what she'd want."

I could do without some of these "real life" stories.

I know it makes the game more realistic, but Id prefer not to have stories like this involved.

I feel like this kind of story is out of place and awkward in a baseball sim game.

There's a good chance that McNamara isn't going to make the team so that's kind of a downer. Talk about kicking a guy when he's already down.

Not sure, but aren't there more of these "story lines" in v 13?
