Does the AS game fatigue players?

Post by cheekimonk » Fri Mar 15, 2024 4:33 am

I had my ace Doug Eckhoff lined up to start the opener of a 4-game series against Jacksonville after the break. However, the manager sent my emergency SP Waseem bin Suhayb to the mound instead where he collected his 4th loss of the year allowing 5 runs in 2.2 innings. Eckhoff only tossed 0.2 innings allowing 3 runs in the AS game during the Sim and he has no fatigue or injury issues going in (or coming out). Doesn't seem right that the AS game can take a pitcher out of his next start.

Why not? Happens in real life.

It does. Do you know if you can you get around if by setting a player's amount of days off?

It would be kind of fun if we all benched our all star pitchers and the game pitched position player instead.

I did realize my question may end up opening a can of worms that could lead to something like this. Which is fun until my 1B blows out his arm.

With that, are injuries still on for the AS game? I have no idea and have no recollection of someone losing a player for any amount of time due to an AS game injury.

I tried that tactic one year, but don’t think it worked.
