Lineup strategy question

Post by cheekimonk » Wed Feb 14, 2024 6:18 pm

I've wondered this but never really looked into it. So you go thru and construct the most efficient, productive lineup for your team. One day, your speedy, OBP, XBH leadoff CF is getting the day off and the backup solid D, not much else, slow CF will get the start. Does the AI just put the backup in place of your main guy at the top of the lineup, or does it reshuffle your entire lineup for that day?

It usually shuffles the lineup from my experience. Look at some past box scores.

Same goes for me,: the manager shuffles things as he sees fit.
