Simpson still has one decent season left in him.

It was a little painful to let him go. One more season like he had last year and you could argue him going into the hall of fame in a River Monster cap. He'd likely have the most games played and a WAR close to what he put up in CAl/SAC. If we would win the Brewster, that could have swayed the vote even more.
