Buckley got a nice bat @tylertoo. Curious if he’ll be able to stick in outfield. Regardless, probably best player to take there.

I'm pretty solid now with pitching prospects in that age range so I was glad a power bat was at/near the top of the list.

I had him as my #1 on two of my lists. Prieto is just below him with a bit more versatility.

Why would you have two lists?

I understand the need to restart the draft to fix the order. To do otherwise would be unfair to Seattle. But the fix is unfair to me. I am the only person who was put in a position to have to announce their top choice for all to see, and then have it taken away.

Yes, I know -- Buckley was an obvious pick, even if I hadn't 'chosen' him. But it is also certainly possible that my making that selection, along with posting a large team news about it, highlighted the choice. Thus, by being proactive Sunday to move the draft along, and then by touting in a TN, I get screwed.

Not to mention wasting two hours writing the article.

Just venting. There was no other choice, I get it. Mistakes happen, and there's no other fix. It still sucks.

Two ppt for the article. Alternate BBA history. Plus there’s no way in hell that Buckley lasts until #4.

It does suck, but it's like going 2-0 during a sim that crashes and then has to restart and you end up losing those first two games instead with a season-ending injury. It's all a simulation so not a whole lot to do at this point. You get the PPT, which is a shitty consolation, but this also provides opportunity for another TN. Just hope Buckley lumps and you'll feel better.

Thanks everyone for letting me vent, I feel better. Appreciate your words @njherdfan and compensation @recte44. Fully agree that it's like a sim crashing, just live with it. And thanks to all who put the draft together, I'm sure it's a lot of work.

I guess I just immediately fell in love with Buckley and envisioned him being the superstar for years to come, and then he was taken away. So yeah, maybe Sonny Vitale will call up one of his goon squads and whack a knee or two...

And FWIW, that pitcher you grabbed looks like he will be pretty good if he stays healthy. No serious injuries on his injury history.
