So, I am travelling the world but leaving Brewster!

So, I retired from work starting November 1, and have given away and sold almost everything I have in order to "take a long, slow trip around the world". The idea is to move somewhere for a few months (in shared furnished living arrangements), learn the area and the culture, and then move on to the next place. I am starting by moving to Corpus Christi, Texas later this month, then plan to go to La Playa Rosarita next, which is on the Baja peninsula in Mexico. Later I will go to some other places in Mexico (like Yucatan, maybe Mexico City, other places) and then Central America (maybe Honduras, Panama, Belize), then move down to South America (I hope to hike Machu PIchu while I am in Peru). After I finish the American continents, I plan to move on to Southern Europe. I don't know how long I will continue to do this (5 years, 10 years?) but I am in my early sixties and I want to do this while I still have my health. I have been learning Spanish (using Duolingo primarily) the past few months to prepare... With English and Spanish, I should be able to do the Americas nicely.

So I have been learning Spanish, planning my travels, and, I apologize... not spending nearly as much time with BBA and the Chicago Black Sox as I usually have. It is only going to get worse from here, so I must bid adieu. But please keep in touch! At some point later on, I might come back to UMEBA and BBA but I just am not going to have the time for it in the foreseeable future. Who knew that I would be busier in retirement than before retirement! Everybody take care!
