Also I'm not sure I dig the whole new trend of finished players in the draft, but I don't hate it, either. It's just a little bit of an oddball recent anomaly, and I liked it a little better five years ago when you didn't know if the starter you drafted #7 overall would absolutely pitch in the majors in July.

It's a complete anomaly caused by me in making a huge settings mistake a couple seasons ago.

Is it coincidence that Caroll Baskin is an Intelligrad Tiger? Interesting school choice.

Well, the dirty deed is done. Hector Cano Jr will be hitting in El Paso before the start of the next decade. It was a hard decision in the end, I cast longing eyes at Ken Sparks, he could have been part of a 1-2-3 punch in the Chilis rotation in 2046. It’s hard for the bottom feeders to grab decent pitchers, you normally get one shot at it in the draft, I’ve got nothing to trade for one and nowhere near enough money to grab a quality FA one so Sparks could have made a real difference. But the need for hitting won through, even though Don Keagle might well turn out to be a poor man’s Cano Jr, so I’m off to tell Keagle he’s got to learn LF if he wants to play in El Paso

I went with Sparks.... My head was telling Arroyo was the better choice but that flashy 75 beside Sparks' name drew me in in the end. I was so hoping Nigel was going to make my decision easier by leaving me Cano!

I guess I'll just have to build a super rotation of Sparks, Thompson, Vidaca, and Warren in the next year or two.

Had to take Smallwood. Can I have a 7-man rotation?

Can you guys please leave me a pitcher? I'm never bad enough to be in the top 5.

perhaps those teams that draft a pitcher would be inclined to trade away that pitcher :)
