Edmonton Takes Cartwright Cup
The Edmonton Jackrabbits took time to celebrate with the Edmonton fans who stuck around after the game, following the team's Cartwright Cup triumph over the Brooklyn Robins.

Members of the Jackrabbits hung around chatting, high-fiving and taking pictures with the Edmonton fans in attendance at McDermott Park at Ebbets Field, long after the last pitch had been thrown in their 7-2 win to seal the series 4-1.

"We've got great fan support," said first baseman Carlomaria Donadoni. "Whether we're at home or on the road, the fans support us. So we wanted to show them how important that is to us. Some Brooklyn fans that were there even congratulated us on the win."

For the series, Donadoni hit .455 with a .500 on-base percentage. He had 5 home runs, 11 RBI and scored 6 runs.

Things weren't so cordial on the Robins side of things. Their clubhouse was closed to media after the game and all players and coaches quickly dressed and left the stadium after the end to their season.

The Edmonton Jackrabbits don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Louisville Sluggers - California Crusaders series. Louisville leads the series 3 games to 1. The Landis Memorial Series is scheduled to begin on November 2nd, 2042.

Sluggers Advance to Landis Memorial Series
All playoffs end with joy on one side and despair on the other. Today, the Louisville Sluggers are the ones feeling overwhelmed with excitement, and the California Crusaders are the ones thinking about what they could have done differently.

The Sluggers took a 2-1 victory at South Pacific Field today, which gave Louisville a 4-1 series win.

With the win, Louisville will advance to play in the Landis Memorial Series.

"We aren't ready to go home yet," said Sluggers third baseman Rafael Gutiérrez, who was named series MVP.

The Louisville Sluggers will play against the Edmonton Jackrabbits in the next round. Edmonton won their series against the Brooklyn Robins 4 games to 1. The Landis Memorial Series is scheduled to begin on November 2nd, 2042.

Congrats to Chris on the Johnson title and good luck in the Landis. Brooklyn is not quite on your level yet. Hopefully the new GM will be able to finish what I started.

And special thanks to Recte and all the GM's of the Brewster. You all have created an amazing league that is head and shoulders above any other league out there. The rumors are true and owner Dale Doleback has finally removed me of my duties with the team. It's been a fun ride and who knows, I may be back some day to take another team of misfits further then anyone can predict.

Dempster done. He might be useless by the time his contract ends. Or he might be going for 110 WAR. Who knows?

Be well, Alan. Come back some time, as long as you're not poaching my players.

Just wanted to thank you for everything you’ve brought into the league. I’ll do my best to make sure that Brooklyn can finish the job. Come back soon, Alan.

some of the more bombastic and "social" (if that is the right word) GMs get a lot of the attention when it comes to discussion about who some of the top GMs in this league are, but Alan has always been a guy that flew under the radar but belongs in that discussion as much as anyone. Anytime you have a bunch of people scratching their heads and going "I don't know how the fuck he does it, but that team is good again", you know you are incredibly good at your job. Best wishes Alan, and I hope to see you back here at some point, ready to flummox us all again.
