Round 2 to Bosphorus
It's party time in Istanbul. The confetti is flying and residents are smiling.

The Istanbul Bosphorus have reached the mountaintop, capturing the 2042 Round 2 today. They defeated the Jerusalem Hebrew Hammers 7-3 at Istanbul Grounds to officially wrap up the series 4-2.

Asked how it feels to be champion, right fielder Anastasio Hernández was to the point.

"It feels great, like a million bucks. I'm so happy right now, not just for me but for all the guys," he said. "We put a lot of work into this and deserve to be champions."

The team is planning a victory parade and fan appreciation day later in the week. Istanbul finished the regular season 90-72 and claimed second place in the Burt League.

Win or lose, this Brooklyn-Edmonton matchup in the Cartwright is going to be my favorite series possibly ever.

I'm pretty sure you got me covered. Edmonton is far more talented then we are and your hitters are going to tear apart my pitchers. My only hope is that we somehow won the season series 5-3. So I need to figure out what went right in those games I guess. Good luck. Win or lose it will be fun to play the best team in the Johnson.

Remember when they were horrible and the thought was all they needed was a good GM to put it all together? Well, Chris, you've made a monster.

Spill a little out for the Nine, though, and empty the glass for Lucas McNeill.
