Frickin Odds for 2042 Landis Appearance
Using an in-depth, double-secret probation, classified analysis; the Canes analytics department used season stats, head-to-head records, rock/paper/scissors and other tried and true methods to determine the probabilities of the various teams in the Frick League.
Without further suspense, here they are:
Louisville 29%
Yellow Springs 27
Twin Cities 18
Omaha 11
California 9
Chicago 3
Hawaii 2
Nashville 1
Feel free to let the second-guessing and debates begin.

Your methods are questionable. You can borrow my copy of Gray's Sports Almanac (2000-2050) if you want.

The fact that California isn't dead last with Hawaii makes this not so believable. With Yellow Springs having a 27% chance, does that mean a 73% chance of getting knocked out in the first round in walk-off fashion?

Only if you call the first round the Landis and fake them out.

I believe Nashville being below Hawaii and California has more to do with Nashville having to do better against Louisville than what Chicago has to do with Des Moines just to get into the playoffs. But it could also be that the trained monkey taking notes was distracted during the rock/paper/scissors phase.

I really can't wait to win the Landis this year.

The bottom two teams on the probability list are gone as of this sim. Yet California remains. Is the note-taking monkey more credible than originally thought?

Give me Louisville at +300 please.
Yellow Springs should be +2000 even at this point! Haha

Is it just me or is every Johnson League team rooting for Yellow Springs to make it to the Landis?
