Phoenix Out of Time, Out of Playoffs
Not even a torrid finish to the season can land the Phoenix Talons in the playoffs now -- the Talons were mathematically eliminated from playoff contention today.

This is the club's 3rd playoff miss in a row. They last appeared in the postseason in 2039. In the last 10 seasons, the Talons have missed the playoffs 6 times. In total, the Talons have missed the playoffs 9 times in their 13-year history.

Playoff Bound: Twin Cities Secures Wild Card
A sense of relief and excitement washed over the Twin Cities River Monsters tonight as the club celebrated a playoff clinch.

"It's a good feeling to know you're going to be in the playoffs," said catcher Joe Bradshaw. "Now we can concentrate on gearing ourselves towards winning a championship."

A Landis Memorial Series win would be the 1st in team history.

Playoff Bound: Omaha Secures Wild Card
Excitement is building in Omaha with the news that the hometown Hawks have clinched a playoff spot.

The fate of the Frick League Heartland Division remains officially undecided, but with a record of 89-65, Omaha is assured of being involved in the postseason.

"We can relax now - a little bit," said starting pitcher José Lima.

California Wins Top Spot in Frick League Pacific Division
California Crusaders fans are walking a little prouder today after their team officially clinched the Frick League Pacific Division.

"There's no reason to believe we can't win it all," left fielder David Simpson said bluntly. "Whether or not we're favorites, we can definitely do what it takes to bring the Landis Memorial Series home to California."

The division crown is the 15th for the Crusaders. The club will be looking for its 4th Landis Memorial Series victory.

Team manager Pepe Pérez said "preparation and focus" will be key to bring home the championship.

Postseason Bid Ends for Charm City
Whether or not the Charm City Jimmies would have been dangerous in the playoffs is now irrelevant. The team was mathematically eliminated from postseason contention today.

Charm City last appeared in the postseason in 2034. This is their 8th consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 9 times in their 13-year history. In the last 10 seasons, the Jimmies have missed the playoffs 6 times.

No Late-Season Magic Coming: Calgary Out of Playoffs
A late-season playoff push is not in the cards for the Calgary Pioneers. The club today was mathematically knocked out of playoff contention.

"There are a lot of long faces around right now," said Pioneers manager Terry Cochran. "You know in your head that every year, most teams in baseball have to go through this, but it still hurts when you realize you've lost your shot at a title."

Before this season, the Pioneers last missed the playoffs in 2038. In the 47 years they have been a Brewster Baseball Association franchise, they have missed the playoffs 27 times. In the last 10 years, they have missed the playoffs 3 times. Calgary has won the Landis Memorial Series 2 times in their history.

Louisville Captures Frick League Heartland Division Crown
"We're not done yet!"

That was the resounding sentiment in the Louisville Sluggers locker room when they were told they had clinched the Frick League Heartland Division title, for the 10th time. With a 109-48 record, Louisville's stars certainly feel like they have a good chance to go all the way.

"We've learned a lot under Waldemar Buddenberg's tutelage this year. He's taught us to never be over-confident, and to play every game like a championship game. I think with him and the team we have, we have a great chance to bring a 3rd championship to Louisville this year," said right fielder Semei Kwakou.

The fate of Johnson League Atlantic Division remains undecided, but one thing is now known for sure - the Brooklyn Robins will be playing postseason baseball this season.

The team officially laid claim to a playoff spot today, on the strength of their 90-68 record.

Playoff Bound: Bucharest Secures Wild Card
They have their eye on the Bancroft League crown, but for now the Bucharest Impalers are happy to have guaranteed themselves a playoff berth.

"We'd like to go in as division champions, that's for sure," said starting pitcher Mateus Rabisca.

The Impalers currently have a 86-73 record and when playoffs begin will be vying for the 1st Unified Middle East Baseball Association championship in franchise history.

Impalers Win Tight Bancroft League Race
The Bucharest Impalers are the class of the Bancroft League.

With their record sitting at 87-73, the club officially captured the division title today for the 4th time.

"Every guy in the room has worked towards this goal all year long," said manager John Day. "I'm proud to call this my team."

The club will now go in search of their 1st Unified Middle East Baseball Association championship.

"It's not going to be easy, but winning the Round 2 is our ultimate goal," said starting pitcher Mateus Rabisca.

Beirut Devastated by Playoff Elimination
A close finish won't make it any easier for the Beirut Cedars to end their season early. The club has now been mathematically eliminated from playoff contention for the 2042 season.

"There were some things broken and some things said that are not repeatable," Cedars manager Bob Dodson.

In their 5 seasons in Unified Middle East Baseball Association, the Cedars have still yet to qualify for the playoffs.
