Vancouver Out of Time, Out of Playoffs
The Vancouver Mounties were stuck in the middle this season -- not competitive enough in the playoff chase to be considered relevant, but not far enough behind to be completely written off. Until now, that is -- today, the Mounties were mathematically eliminated from playoff contention.
Before this season, the Mounties last missed the playoffs in 2040. In the 47 years they have been a Brewster Baseball Association franchise, they have missed the playoffs 28 times. In the last 10 years, they have missed the playoffs 8 times. Vancouver last won the Landis Memorial Series in 2000.

Jackrabbits Are Champs of Johnson League Frontier Division
A season's worth of hard work has culminated in a division championship for the Edmonton Jackrabbits.
The club officially clinched its spot atop the Johnson League Frontier Division today, with plenty of games to spare.
"It feels good to get it wrapped up early and now be able to set ourselves up for the playoffs," said starting pitcher Jubal Troop.
The club currently has a 96-55 record and this is their 4th division championship.
"We want to bring the 3rd Landis Memorial Series to Edmonton," said Juan Carlos Gonzáles. "We think we've got what it takes to be the best in Brewster Baseball Association."

Talamante Gets 300th Home Run
It was a great day for Gabriel Talamante, but not a good one for his Louisville Sluggers. The 34-year-old second baseman reached a personal milestone with his 300th career homer, but it wasn't enough to beat the Omaha Hawks, who came away with a 4-3 victory. Talamante finished the day with 1 hit, 2 RBI and 1 run scored.
"Well, I've conceded the fact that you can't will yourself to hit a home run," he said. "I tried hard for the last few days. It was getting to be embarrassing with the crowd standing up every time I came to the plate."
Lifetime Talamante is hitting .221 with 1071 hits, 189 doubles, 11 triples and 300 home runs. He has scored 675 runs and driven in 718.

Chariot Archers BC Out of Time, Out of Playoffs
It will not be a surprise to many, but the Cairo Chariot Archers BC will not be heading to the playoffs this year. The team has been mathematically eliminated from postseason contention.

Burt League Champs Crowned: Baghdad Kings
The Baghdad Kings are champions of the Burt League, but don't plan the parade quite yet.
"It's a nice accomplishment, but we haven't done anything until we win the Round 2," said reliever José Pérez. "We're going to celebrate this for sure, but the real celebration is still to come for fans in Baghdad."
The club's record currently sits at 95-57. It is the team's 1st division title and they will be seeking the franchise's 1st Unified Middle East Baseball Association championship.
Team manager Oliver Carmona said he'll take some time to celebrate the division title, but then it's "back to work" for members of the team and coaching staff.

Postseason Bid Ends for Manama
While they stayed relevant until late in the season, a playoff berth wasn't meant to be this season for the Manama Pearls. The club was eliminated from playoff contention today.
