Not to be that guy, but why do you care about his arb at all? He's a poor bat who plays bad D at 2B. He's 26, so chances are he's not getting better. I'd let him play out his 500k's and cut bait.

...unless you're making a general 'Arbs are high' statement, which is fair enough in this particular instance.

He's a mediocer bat who would naturally be in AAA to serve as injury insurance...the "problem" is a combination of high rates and the fact that thiese estimates "reserve" that much cash against the ability to make extension offers.
