Nine Dominate, Sweep Cartwright Cup
The Yellow Springs Nine have swept the Vancouver Mounties and are on to the Landis Memorial Series. Yellow Springs won 6-5 today at Northwoods Outpost to clinch the Cartwright Cup.

"We're happy to have put the dagger in when we had the chance," said Yellow Springs left fielder Ricardo Mendoza, who was named MVP for the series. "It could have been a tough series to finish if we let them start winning."

Mendoza won the award with a .421 batting average and a .421 on-base percentage. He had 1 home runs, drove in 5 RBI and scored 5 runs.

The Yellow Springs Nine don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Edmonton Jackrabbits - Calgary Pioneers series. Edmonton leads the series 3 games to 1. The Landis Memorial Series is scheduled to begin on October 31st, 2041.

i had 3 straight 7 game series against ted and his crusaders that were insane. I feel like the first one i was up 3-1 and lost it, then the 2nd one i was down 3-0 and came back to win (the last one was a standard 7 gamer i believe). One of them i was literally following the live sim in a bar after more than a few drinks and it was nerve-wracking.
