Cedars Out of Time, Out of Playoffs
The efforts of the Beirut Cedars weren't consistent enough this season to have any real shot at making the playoffs. And now they have been officially and mathematically eliminated from the postseason chase.

The Cedars are still searching for their first playoff appearance. The team has now missed qualifying for the postseason in each of their 3 seasons in the UMEBA.

The 2040 Unified Middle East Baseball Association season has a ways to go still, but the final weeks won't have playoff implications for the Baghdad Kings -- they were officially eliminated from postseason contention today.

This is the 4th time in a row that the Kings have missed the playoffs.They have yet to make the playoffs in their history.

Playoff Bound: Jerusalem Secures Wild Card
The Jerusalem Hebrew Hammers will be going to the postseason.

While it remains to be seen if they will officially capture the Bancroft League crown, the club will have a spot in the playoffs.

"It's a weight off our shoulders for sure," said manager Denny Dooley.

Postseason Bid Ends for Mumbai
It's back to the drawing board for the Mumbai Metro Stars. The club's efforts at building a championship contender fell short this year, as the team was officially eliminated from playoff contention today.

This is the 1st time in a row that the Metro Stars have missed the playoffs.Their last payoff appearance was in 2039.

Division Remains Up for Grabs, but Bucharest in Postseason
An "enormous burden" has been lifted off the shoulders of the Bucharest Impalers, according to their reliever.

"We're in the playoffs now, for sure, and that's all that matters," said Roberto Muñíz.

Bucharest currently has a record of 92-62.

Career Over -- José Chávez Retires
José Chávez said he's incredibly grateful for getting a chance to play with the Manama Pearls organization, but this season will be his last.

"I'm extremely loyal to the team, but that's why I have to walk away. I think there's probably someone younger and better who can come in and take my spot," the 38-year-old said. "I'm grateful for all the opportunities I've gotten in pro ball."

Chávez has accumulated a 9-13 lifetime record. He has 93 strikeouts in 169.2 innings and has made 49 appearances, recording 0 career saves and putting up a 4.77 ERA.
