Fun Table of the Day: Attendence Neep
While we're waiting on a sim, here's a fun little table full of interesting attendance data, pulled from a combination of StatsPlus, and the game as of the end of last sim (data sorted by division, and then winning percentage).

You can paste it directly into an excel sheet if you want to sort it across any other dimension...which has been kind of interesting to play with.

Re: Fun Table of the Day: Attendence Neep
My terrible start to the season sure influenced my numbers here. Attendance was awful to begin and has been great since the turnaround.

There are no small markets, only small teams. (Apologies to Stanislavski)

I hate my FI so much, but I guess that's what 10 years of trash tier baseball will do. I just wish it climbed a little faster. I think the highest I've seen us at is 64? kind of crazy that with a .679 winning percentage at the time this was pulled that we have one of the lowest FI's in the league. Pretty frustrated with some of these numbers, but I'll keep on working towards putting winning teams together and hopefully we'll get to the higher FI's one of these years.

Re: Fun Table of the Day: Attendence Neep
Looks like Seattle and San Fernando's tix prices were transposed. I guess if you can afford $8.50 for a cup of coffee in the Pacific Northwest, that price isn't so bad.usnspecialist wrote: ↑Sun Nov 24, 2019 10:09 pmmy tickets are definitely set at $19 and have been all season.....

I'll take a higher rank in the 6th column than in the 3rd all day long.crobillard wrote: ↑Sun Nov 24, 2019 8:47 pmI hate my FI so much, but I guess that's what 10 years of trash tier baseball will do. Re: Fun Table of the Day: Attendence Neep
I think I started at around $20 in Portland. Sold almost 0 season tix (lowest total in the league). So I drastically dropped mine.
I think part of the issue was the “team” that started as Portland had $7.00 ticket prices and I raised them to $20. People didn’t like that.

Re: Fun Table of the Day: Attendence Neep
I've always wondered if the mere act of raising prices at all made a difference in things like fan interest.

Seeing where I'm at compared to the rest of the league, I'm going to lower mine in the offseason. Hopefully get attendance up next year.

Re: Fun Table of the Day: Attendence Neep
Our shitty season was merely a test the effects of a growing fan interest combined with an increase in stadium capacity against raised ticket prices and dismal winning percentage.
Yeah, that what it was. Just a test.

Pretty sure ticket price changes affect Fan Loyalty.
And how about the reigning champs, returning every player of significance, in the playoff race yet again, and we are about average Fan Interest...and that is after FI bumps thanks to extensions to Allen and Mercado.

They do seem to... sometimes. Fan interest is a weird science to me.
