A Note On Carlos Garcia's Contract

Listening to the Frontier podcast, the contract of Carlos Garcia came up again--which made me remember that outside of some chit-chat with the Governing Board, I never did respond back here. Bottom line:

1) With our information, the OOTP Devs found an error in the code for assessing Vesting Options.
2) Theoretically, that flaw has been fixed in the last update (it's noted on their bug list).
3) The goal of the dev team is for these options to be discounted heavily in the eyes of the players (but I note this is hard to test)

In addition, there's been a brief discussion about adding even more criteria for players to assess options in v21 that all sound like good ideas.

So, anyway...Garcia probably did sign a bad deal for him, but at least our experience will, again, feed back to make the game a little better in the future.
