Re: 2040, EXPANSION DRAFT CHATTER
At the coffee shop this morning, the woman in front of me was telling the barista about her 50-year reunion coming up in two weeks and I swear on everything holy, I thought to myself "She must not have an expansion draft scheduled" and smiled.

All three of YS9 picks burnt by round 8. Interesting set of selections. I'm going to have to digest things a bit.

Re: 2040, EXPANSION DRAFT CHATTER
We lose a #4 starter with 3 stamina entering his age 30 season with 5 years, $32m still owed him. And a couple of mildly intriguing prospects. I had hoped O'Reilly would take the SS spot last year, but he barely held on to his AAA roster spot. Perez is intriguing at 7/7/8/6/6 against righties (and not terrible against lefties), good 1B defense, and a good clubhouse guy; could be a decent 2-3 year player for an expansion club. With the extensions to Martinez and Zuniga, he probably wasn't playing in Jacksonville before his 25th birthday.

$55.16 million and -1.51 WAR off the books. I think I'll take that.

Blake was the biggest loss for me I think. Morgan just kept getting hurt.

I'll be going to the bar and having two expansion drafts today. Maybe a sandwich to go with it.

In case everyone missed it, I have some cap space still left. Send me your ideas to free up some room for you too.
