Re: 2039, Sim #11 Chatter
Kennedy and Kharlamov happened.
Your infield range isn't the best. I'd try having Echii play short and have Kennedy and Kharlamov platoon at 2B(though they are not good there either). You'd be giving up one spot on offense but you will be gaining in 10-12 other spots by giving your pitchers better "luck".

Yeah, that's true. I guess I haven't factored defense in too much, even though I definitely should. Thanks for the advice.ae37jr wrote: ↑Mon Jul 22, 2019 3:03 amKennedy and Kharlamov happened.

Jimmies on a little bit of a role right now. Terrible PYT suggests things will probably come back to Earth sooner than later though.

I've always kicked myself for giving him away for almost nothing in a playoff run. Not one of my best trades.
Crazy to see him struggling like this... he's been a solid starter for several seasons.

Re: 2039, Sim #11 Chatter
I gotta say the only flaw with using Statsplus for the Draft is not seeing signability/demands. I've lost around half of my picks because I was drafting from area with little to no cell coverage.... and they're either impossible or want +$2 Million for a 5th round pick or later.. lol.
It's not anyone's fault... Just venting a little. It was just bad timing for a vacation during the draft.

I don't think signability was in any other of the utilities. And I don't think OOTPU had demands. StatsLab did. I agree that demands at least should be there. I think signability is trickier since that changes from team to team. I do the same thing on picks. I think I lucked out this year though.Spiccoli wrote: ↑Mon Jul 22, 2019 11:11 amI gotta say the only flaw with using Statsplus for the Draft is not seeing signability/demands. Re: 2039, Sim #11 Chatter
Here are Zamora's results on ground balls per zone, not counting last week.
- If an opponent hits a ground ball up the middle (4M/6M), its almost a guaranteed hit.
- If an opponent hits a soft grounder between short and 3B (probably mostly a 3B zone), it's usually an out.
- If an opponent hits a hard grounder between short and 3B (probably a SS zone), it's usually a hit.
Kharlamov and Kennedy are a pretty horrendous DP combo. 1B is not much better.

Re: 2039, Sim #11 Chatter
Of course, Zamora's BB and HR rate have both sky rocketed, and the defense can't do anything about that

The Frick (and mainly the Frontier Division) should be on notice...reigning Landis Champion Edmonton, although 30-39, now has a 35-34 Pythagorean record and positive run differential. I think the Jackrabbits' slow start is a thing of the past and if their improved play continues, it'll be interesting to see if Lynch remains on the trade block or is retained for a possibly playoff march.

Re: 2039, Sim #11 Chatter
lolol I could go either way, but I've maintained that for awhile. Playoff run or not, I'd be happy to keep and resign Lynch. If I get a deal that I like though I'm happy to trade him as well. I feel like the end of a player's contract is a good time to these kind of decisions. I wont let him go to free agency though.jleddy wrote: ↑Mon Jul 22, 2019 1:14 pmThe Frick (and mainly the Frontier Division) should be on notice...reigning Landis Champion Edmonton, although 30-39, now has a 35-34 Pythagorean record and positive run differential. I hope you're right though. I'd like for us to get on a tear. I just don't know if it'll be enough to claim the division. Too many good teams.

Re: 2039, Sim #11 Chatter
I'm sure there have been great seasons in the past, but we're almost half way through the season now. I can't remember one where so many teams have been in it for this long. Really, only Vancouver and Montreal are really out of a Wild Card question...and maybe Nashville. If the next month goes the same way, trade deadline could be really cruchy.crobillard wrote: ↑Mon Jul 22, 2019 1:20 pmlolol I could go either way, but I've maintained that for awhile. Re: 2039, Sim #11 Chatter
Alternatively, the option of “do not draft” would be nice. You could manually filter these guys out. Or other guys if you don’t like a wrecked player (for instance). Just a thought. I know we don’t control this, but maybe someone here knows someone who does!bcslouck wrote: ↑Mon Jul 22, 2019 11:19 amI don't think signability was in any other of the utilities. I pull it from the same script that I run to do the defensive plays above average report. I'll package up all the source files in a sec so you can see them. (as a rule I post them once or twice a year anymore, but I'm not sure anyone actually messes with them. )
