Yes. Most things we discuss on this forum either have no "right" answer, or have a right answer that is not really known with absolute certainty by anyone involved. This is among the reasons that I have on very rare occasions (generally when discussing things about the results engine with Kyle) I will say something like "most things I have opinions on, but this thing I _know_."

Re: IF You Could Have Two Ratings ...
I'm going with EYE/AVK as, I believe, this will result in better all-around ballplayers to fill a competitive roster. A player with a decent EYE/AVK will undoubtedly have other serviceable major league skills, either high CON/GAP/POW or high SPD/DEF. Players just don't make it to the majors with decent EYE/AVK as their only positive traits. Conversely, a decent CON/POW may just be that.

I don't think I'd ever look at only Con/Pow or Eye/AvK. If only give 2 ratings, I'd look at Pow/Eye (OPS baby).

Re: IF You Could Have Two Ratings ...
Well... I'll say this.
I've learned the hard way with players ratings fading as they get older...
Players with a high EYE can still be productive even if their CON/GAP/POW start to slump. And they tend to keep that High EYE rating longer than other stats. Hunter Eisenhower was a great example. He had a decent couple of seasons late in his career even though his CON and POW ratings had really dropped. Once his EYE dropped, I had to cut him.
But a low EYE player with high CON or POW will become irrelevant FAST if either drops even a little (Man is a great example). I know this is probably well known by veteran GM's, but a high EYE can compensate for mediocre CON or POW.
I love that I'm still learning stuff in this game all the time.
