Linking Names

How are we linking names in forum posts now? I tried the globe with the link and it doesnt work. I've seen other people posting though so I'm lost.

Gives you this

COPY LINK then in the first after "url" put a "=linkaddress"

Alternatively type the name, then highlight it, THEN hit the globe icon and simply paste the URL link

I tried the globe icon. It just comes up as . It doesnt give me the box with the two entry slots for URL and Name like it used to.

Hitting the global link gives me [ url] [ /url] (inside the post and without the spaces). I then click after the first "url" and type "=" and then paste in the link.

Right, but that just pastes the link. How do I get the name in there with the link to the name like it used to do?

Yeah I wrote a TN this morning with close to 50 player names in it. Saw there was no url converter and said..."I'll just save this for another day"

I think I only ever used the URL converter tool one time. It missed every player with accents in their names. I never used it again. I always manually link everything.

The linker got a little better (?) with accents, but it did seem pretty hit and miss.

Yeah...the linker never could pick up on my southern accent...and it clearly didn't understand that all'y'all is plural for y'all....

I used to always manually do it as well. Then started with the URL converter and liked it just in time for it to disappear.

I'm also glad that when this internet thingy first started getting big I was still in High School and played around a lot with websites and using HTML code.
