I have no issue with voting for John Hickman at CF. That's where he played most his games and by his -2 ZR there, he's essentially league average. Of course, you have to trust ZR to say that.

Doing a quick look, it suggests that a -10 ZR would be about the least we really should have seen in CF. Montreal's Juan Santana was -22 ZR, but that's a very weird outlier. SO Hickman's -2.4 in 90+ games is in the band of okay-ness.

I think we have enough sampling size to say Santanta won't be playing CF in Montreal this season.

So, if we compared Hickman's stats for the games he actually played CF to his competition for the Silver Slugger award, how would he fare? Not so great I would guess. I'm just going to make sure I click on the player going forward as I think the award is meant for a full time player at each position, not a guy that played part of his games at the position (91)...otherwise, why not vote for him for CF & LF? He would have a chance at 2 awards.... :shrug: :coffee:
