Feliciano Rafael is a golden god!!! Somehow manages to top his doubleday game 7 performance by throwing 8 shutout innings in game 7 against long beach.

Rockville Advances to Landis Memorial Series
While it wasn't a complete mismatch, the Rockville Pikemen showed themselves to be the superior team in the Cartwright Cup, downing the Atlantic City Gamblers 4-2.

"Nothing is ever easy in the Brewster Baseball Association playoffs. Whether you're a favorite or an underdog, you can't take anyone lightly or you'll get burned," said Lorenzo Palácios, who was named series MVP after a standout offensive performance.

Rockville won the final game by a 8-5 count at Owen's Ordinary to clinch its spot in the next round.

They will hope to once again rely on Palácios there, as he hit .524 with 1 home runs, 5 RBI 3 runs scored during the series.

The Rockville Pikemen don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the San Fernando Bears - Long Beach Surfers series. San Fernando leads the series 3 games to 2. The Landis Memorial Series is scheduled to begin on November 2nd, 2036.

Cartwright Cup Goes the Distance, San Fernando Prevails
The fans in San Fernando are delirious, while there is little joy to be found in Long Beach.

The San Fernando Bears finished off the Long Beach Surfers 4-0 in the deciding game of the Cartwright Cup played at Chico's Bail Bonds Field.

They took the series 4-3 and will now head to the Landis Memorial Series.

For his standout play, San Fernando shortstop Ángel García was voted the series' Most Valuable Player.

He batted .370, drove in 5 runs and scored 3 to lead his club to victory.

"We could never really figure out how to pitch to García and that doomed us," said Surfers manager Anthony Light. "Hats off to San Fernando, though. That was a great series."

The San Fernando Bears will play against the Rockville Pikemen in the next round. Rockville won their series against the Atlantic City Gamblers 4 games to 2. The Landis Memorial Series is scheduled to begin on November 2nd, 2036.

With K Kahn Sets New Mark
"Long live the king" echoed throughout Avengers Ballpark today when Sven Kahn of the Melbourne Storm set a new mark for strikeouts in a single season, surpassing the old record held by Marcos Sánchez. The new strikeout king logged strikeout number 62 and put his name in the league record book. Speaking with the press after his epic, record-making game, Kahn related, "I never set it as a goal to lead the league in strikeouts. My job isn't to strike guys out, it's to get them out, sometimes by striking them out."

So far this year Kahn has compiled a 6-1 record with a 1.87 ERA.

Most Wins Ever for Kahn
What a fantastic year for Sven Kahn of the Melbourne Storm! No league pitcher had ever won 7 games before. Today in a record-setting performance at Avengers Ballpark Kahn surpassed the previous record holder Carlos Guzmán. He praised his teammates for playing so well when he was on mound. "The two most important things in life are good fielders and a strong bullpen."

In 8 starts this season Kahn has recorded a 7-1 record and a 1.87 ERA.

For his standout play making sure Long Beach's best hitter was unavailable for Game 7, San Fernando shortstop Ángel García was voted the series' Most Valuable Player.
Fixed it.

always sucks to lose game 7. sucks more when it happens with your best bat on the bench with an injury. just cherry on top that the guy that put him there gets the series MVP. :furious:

This is a whacky rematch by the way - remember that you beat ME to win the belt in 2034 in your last year in the Johnson League.

So that's nuts.
