Edmonton to GM Candidate Robillard: "You're Hired":
Life in Edmonton has been eventful of late. On the heels of a front office shakeup, the club has been pondering its future. Today, a local radio station reported that a deal has been reached with Chris Robillard to become the new Edmonton general manager.
"We've been leaning in this direction for a while now," admitted a confidential source with the club, "But we had to evaluate all our options before going ahead. Robillard brings a fresh outlook to the Jackrabbits organization."

San Antonio Out of Time, Out of Playoffs
It certainly could have been worse this year for the San Antonio Outlaws, but that does not mean it was a season to remember. The team was mathematically eliminated from playoff contention today.
The Outlaws have missed the playoffs 34 times in their 41 years as a Brewster Baseball Association franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 4th in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 2031. In the last 10 seasons, the Outlaws have missed the playoffs 7 times.

Division Remains Up for Grabs, but San Fernando in Postseason
Excitement is building in San Fernando with the news that the hometown Bears have clinched a playoff spot.
The fate of the Frick League Pacific Division remains officially undecided, but with a record of 90-55, San Fernando is assured of being involved in the postseason.
"We can relax now - a little bit," said closer Miguel Macías.

There will certainly be no championship parade for the Vancouver Mounties this season. They were already on the outside looking in for the playoff chase, but the club was officially eliminated from contention today.

Seattle Cruises to Frick League Frontier Division Crown
The pennant has been won, the Seattle Storm are champions of the Frick League Frontier Division.
Starting Pitcher Ken Walter said his team is a "gritty and determined" club that were poised to win the division from day one.
"We knew the day the season opened that we'd be champions," he said. "It was just a matter of going out there and doing it."
At the helm, team manager Trey Williams said his club is certainly not short on confidence.
"There's a lot of belief in the dugout and in the clubhouse," he said.
Seattle's record currently sits at 84-62 and it's the 11th division win for the franchise.

Francisco Luna Hurls No-No Against Phoenix
In a dominant outing, Francisco Luna of the Nashville Goats totally silenced the bats of the Phoenix Talons, finishing with a no-hitter.
In the Goats' 5-0 victory, Luna faced only 32 batters, surrendered no hits, had 3 strikeouts and 4 walks.
"Honestly, I didn't even know the situation was what it was until the seventh inning," Nashville manager Celes Palacios said. "I happened to look up there to see how many hits we had gotten, and I happened to notice that they hadn't gotten any."
Commenting on the defeat, losing manager John Yates told reporters in the clubhouse that he had a "pretty simple" analysis of the game.
"The Goats had all the hits and all the runs, so they won," he snapped. "But yeah, Luna pitched a heck of a ballgame."
This year his stats show Luna has no saves in 1 relief appearance with a 9-5 record and 2.93 ERA.
