All true. And your minor leagues are not chock-full of prospect capital...though that can change pretty quickly. You makes your choices and live with the results. :)
I'd agree with the pitching on the farm, but I think I have some pretty good bats. Certainly no monsters with all 10s and 9s; but a few potential starters and a dozen or so guys who will be battling for secondary roles and aren't far from being starters.

Welp, we've officially hitched our team to David Noboru....

4-3 sim. 3 losses by combined 3 runs. 4 wins by combined 16 runs...

I may rue having to work late and missing a potential trade opportunity to add depth to the rotation with a 2nd SP injury...
Yeah man... I definitely thought about it, but wasn’t ready to pull the rip cord on him yet. He’s still cheap and has room to grow.

And Madison is out!

I guess the game has also decided we don't need a SS as it has injured all 2.5 of the 3 I have (yeah, Thealer is a stretch at SS)

I'm not even sure I have anyone in my system ready to play the position at this point.

Yea I am not to excited about Stoller going down for pretty much the remainder of the regular season. I am however a bit relieved that Emilio accepted my extension.

i was sweating bullets reading in slack that wie was hurt, relieved it is only DTD (albeit for a few weeks). Need to figure out if it is worth risking him to try and get that #1 WC spot, or just shut him down and take the #2 spot to make sure he is healthy of the playoffs. There is no way im catching california at this point.

2/5ths of my starting rotation and 1/3rd of my starting bullpen will all be back from the DL for the playoffs. Too bad we aren't going to make them without them.

Heh. I reached out to many teams. I'd say our potential talks were the most explosive. Some other initial talks about varying levels of pitchers with other teams. There were two offers that I thought could have gotten done within another 12ish hours. One to add a solid bullpen arm, another to add rotational depth (and maybe a bullpen arm). But in one, an offer was nearly agreed upon but not confirmed before the deadline, and in another I didn't have a chance to flesh out a full offer once finding out that there was a real possibility of a trade. It happens.
