Maps

Post by bschr682 » Sun May 13, 2018 1:31 pm

Here is a map of all the BBA cities in their glory. And I already see mistakes. Fixed! I'm gonna post maps for all the minor leagues real quick. I'm trying to get a feel for where to put my minors teams. Also should be noted I added the expansion cities but haven't moved Havana yet because he wont say where he is going...

Pretty interesting to see the giant hole in the middle of the continent. Especially if you consider Birmingham moved to San Antonio not long ago, Mexico City is rather new, and Boise/Wichita arent even functioning yet.

Okay so this is AAA. The Rupert Horn Memorial League. I need some help as I do no have commish access and cannot look in the team edit section to determine the actual cities these teams are in so this is a rough draft for now.

Exact cities(or which state they are in) needed - Gotham? Clash City? Ashland? Carolina? Death Valley? Missouri? New Jersey? Brooks?

Ok here is Short-A level. The Sunshine League. Note the ones up in the US are just errors ill have to fix. This is by a million miles the only league that is reasonable as far as how regional it is.

If we ever move our AAA franchise (Flagstaff), it will probably be to Indianapolis. Somewhere we can drive the guys back and fourth. :)

I love that Flagstaff has Death Valley in their division (which makes sense). And Gotham City and Saint Paul (which does not).

This process has been enlightening. A lot of repeats so far which is starting to bother me. Also no minor league team should ever be named after a state. That's just dumb.

I'm creating a spreadsheet right now so I never have to type all these names again hah.

Where can you look to tell where a team is from?

Ok now I'm just at the editing stage which ill do as people help me nail down exactly where some of these teams are.

Things that immediately jump out as talking points:

1. All the leagues minus the Sunshine league are far too spread out. Those teams would never be able to handle that kind of travel. That's not how the minors work.

2. Way too many repeat cities. Havana, Duluth, Shreveport, Kingston, Mississisauga?!, etc should not have multiple teams.

3. Too many state names. Regional names are cool like Death Valley but state names should be off limits for minor league teams.

4. A boat load of Midwest area teams. Obviously a lot of us are from Wisconsin but yea... Make a good site for a regional league though with just some shuffling of current teams.

We can't. Only matt can. Its under Team-home-Settings. The place where it is displayed is blanked out for non-commish peeps.

Those would be some long-assed bus trips. Good thing we've got the Trump-Co Insta-Transporters someone mentioned on some post somewhere. :)

~Perhaps we could use this expansion time as an excuse to sort out the minors? Or at least do one level a year?

Oh and for us non-US types, would it be possible to label or provide some sort of key please as I haven't a clue where half the teams are?

Or if we accept that 2034 Teleporters exist, we have no need to clean our MiL house :bowtie:

Now it's clear why I wanted Wichita and Boise, there is just a huge hole there.

It was Nigel, who inappropriately attributed the invention as coming from Donald Trump Enterprises. We all know that Ivanka is the only Trump who could pull that kind of VC off. :)
