I sent Recte a PM about 10 days ago letting him know that this would be my last season with the team. I was happy to shepherd the team through the remaining games, but would not be returning for next season. I figured it was a good time to step aside since I have been skirting the participation minimums for a few seasons while not being particularly engaged in the league, and with OOTP18 firing up it would be a prime time to find a replacement quickly.
It's been a good run, but my connection to the team hasn't been as strong in recent seasons and I think some fresh blood might help as the team moves on to the next era. I promise it's not just because we're a member of the filthy JL now.

While I haven't spoken directly with Matt, the team has been posted available for a while on the big boards (in case you're wondering what's with all the ATC features lately) and they have apparently found an applicant they like. So good luck to the new fella. We will try to give you a title to defend before we go. I think I've managed to move the Gamblers from the land of mediocrity when I took over prior to 2010 to a perennial contender, so I'm pretty happy with the results.
Thanks to Matt for accepting my application when I re-applied four years ago. Thanks to everybody for putting their time into the league over the years. It's the people in a league that make it good. Best wishes for your fake baseball futures, everybody!
