Draft Pool... New and Improved

Post by DoubleB » Sat Sep 11, 2010 9:45 am

I think I see 5 guys who move into the top of the draft who weren't there before... including the clear 1st overall pick.

Just goes to show how random the pools are for all the thought we put into whether the talent in these leagues are too high or too low.

And the demands are so much lighter. Weird.

This was by design. Dialed down slot numbers in settings

Not mad at getting a 9/7/6 SP at #5 this time around! I wished Sexy Rexy had fallen to #5, but knew he wouldn't. Vicente is a nice consolation.

Was Omaha's pick of Rory West a timeout autopick?

If it wasn't... I guess you know what I think of the pick.

I debated on taking Rex Bell.
But I stuck with looking for the closer of the future and redrafted Jason Egan.
He's durable and well developed.
I see him in a Vancouver uniform in 1998.

I would have had to go with Miller had he been available but there was no chance of that.

Egan's no joke and will definitely be a quality reliever for a long time.

Draft's moving a little bit today. I had hoped Stanley would fall to me, since our system is devoid of any solid catching prospects.

Seattle has been PM'ed.

It's been 19 hours since Chris was PM'ed, and he hasn't looked at it yet. What's going on with the draft clock?

The clock doesn't seem to be set.
Maybe that's why the sim is late too.
Time is standing still.
There are evil vibes about.
Beware.
Have a nice Thursday.
Anyway I'm off top see "The Town". As a former Townie, I love movies set in Boston, especially centering on Charlestown.

Edit: "The Town" was brilliant. The Fenway Park background scenes were great.

We are now entering 24 hours without a pick. I vow to go on a hunger strike until the next pick is up. Or until dinnertime. Whichever comes first.

Seriously: Where is Chris?

I made the pick yesterday. For some reason, it did not go through! It showed as going through after I made it. Just checked in to see if we had a sim today and noticed it was still my pick. Tried to make the pick with the one guy on my list. And it didn't go through. Just picked the same guy again, for the 2nd time.
