Omaha GM Update
Good Morning everyone. I just wanted to let everyone know that although I have been quiet, I am still here. I’ve been dealing with a lot of stuff outside the game and hope to contribute more moving forward (back to my normal contributions). In short, our house hit the market yesterday after searching for a new one for the past 6 months and finally finding one back in March (that we can’t move into until July) so it’s been a long search and process. In the middle of April, we also had a pretty large hail storm hit the area, so I have been dealing with being on my roof replacing it before we listed it yesterday. It’s a long process when you only get 2-3 hours a day to do it, you’re by yourself, and it rains every other day. That’s just personal life, and doesn’t include the increased workload I have taken on over the past months while my boss has been at another location. We’re slowly going to get things crossed off though and my involvement in the community can only grow from here.
Last but not least, congratulations to Nashville who I will be reaching out to in order to get his trophy in production, farewell to those who are leaving us, and welcome to the newcomers to the league. This is a fantastic league that I have now been a part of over 5 years (I joined in March 2017), and a league I plan to be a part of for another 500 years (when Recte’s great great great great great great grandchild is in charge).

Re: Omaha GM UpdatethE
I was just hoping for a hailstorm here. I could use a new roof, and it would be nice if insurance paid for it. If we get any kind of hail here, you may see me up on the roof with a ball peen hammer, just to make sure…
But seriously, sounds like your plate has been full to overflowing. Glad things are starting to ease up a bit.

The sacrifices I make to put a roof over Justin’s head…I should get a trophy.

You put the new roof on yourself? That is pretty impressive. I get anxiety from walking up there to hang the Christmas lights.

It's been a pain. 2,600 sq ft of roofing. 80 bundles. However, all it costs me was the roofing materials (about $3,000). My neighbor with the same roof paid $15,900. Granted, his was done in a day.

Re: Omaha GM Update
$3k seems incredibly cheap for materials. Good job.

I'm glad you're healthy. Take care of those eyes!
Your wife is brave to have you put the roof on.

Re: Omaha GM Update
I think 2050 was a busy year for a lot of GMs. These last 2 months of coaching HS baseball have given me little to no desire to write about and follow fake baseball.
But the season and school year are coming to an end. I also have prospects of moving into a new job next school year so hopefully I'm back fully involved in 2051.
