to all of it. I have the same issue. And also it may not matter, but I was thinking of canning my guy after the season.ae37jr wrote: ↑Mon Oct 22, 2018 1:27 pmMcDonald and his "Legendary" International Scouting Skills was brought in when assistant GM's were first introduced. With 6 star prospects being discovered left and right around the league now, I decided it was time for a new approach and brought in an actual GM. Will it make a difference? Probably not. But when other teams are finding guys like this and all I'm coming up with is this. Then I gotta change something.

Hey we are 12-4 in our last 16 games. Only 18 under .500, we are on a run!

Mostly I think assistant GMs do nothing unless you assign them a task. I basically hire the last expensive guy I can find.

Re: 2036, Sim #17 Chatter
The amount of talent entering the universe through international finds is bordering on fucking ridiculous. I would 100% be behind turning this off considering we already have International signings.bcslouck wrote: ↑Mon Oct 22, 2018 1:52 pmto all of it. I have the same issue. Me too. Considering a lot of talent seems to be going to the have's rather the have not's. Doesn't matter if the flame out chance is higher. They are still getting cracks at superstars.
Kind of wish IFA's were more like MLB, where they constantly popped up, but you had to sign them, even if you threw $10,000 at them instead of the random ones.

I feel like the scouting find influx has slowed. Is it still going full force? And I wholeheartedly agree that it was ridiculous from late 2034 through the early part of this year .

Whether it slowed or sped up or took a right turn doesn't matter to me. I hate random scout finds.

I find them fun, but I'd be fine with whatever.
To me the most interesting thing is seeing the broad degree of variance in how people view trade value. People get pissed off when I give steady value players in return for 5-star IC guys, but they never offer more. And then the 5-star IC guys I get in return crash and burn and no one ever goes back says "okay, that wasn't a bad deal. The other guy actually won."

I've decided that you know that you're full of shit (you're too smart to not know) so I'm not going to engage with you on the topic any longer. I hope you enjoy the rest of your PR campaign and the future fruits of its labors.

If that's the case, I'll trade you Hahn for Thum. Hahn's had 115+ OPS+ in 8 of his 9 seasons and is only going to cost $4.4m per year. Boy, won't I have egg on my face when Thum doesn't match those numbers.....

That's fine. But if that's your choice set, full of shit or just dumb, I'd suggest you select dumb. I don't think either are right, but whatevs.
