Team: Long Beach Surfers
GM: Jason Russell
Other Leagues: Boys of Yesteryear (started in 1901 and now in 1947. Included Negro Leaguers starting in 1921 and now starting to put in Japanese and Cuban players), GBC2, ACB (Will rise again...once Stunt stops pretending that the real world is important!)
Location: Ozark, Missouri
Occupation: Manage all of the backstage folks at Sight and Sound Theatre in Branson. One of the largest, live theatres in the world.
Birthday: 4-2-70
Family: Wife, four kids (Boys - 21, 16, 11, Girl - 6)
Accolades: One of my proudest is being an Honor Graduate from Air Force Basic Training and Tech School
How would your friends describe you: Funny (goofy even), but also very serious when important topics are being discussed. Spiritual. Fiercely loyal. A good listener who also talks too much. A leader.
Favorite Sports Moments: Red Sox '04. Cabrera driving in Bream. Bucs Super Bowl championship.
Favorite Sports Movies: Field of Dreams, The Natural, The Rookie (I know...I know...I'm a sap), Moneyball, Remember the Titans, Rudy
Favorite MLB Team: Red Sox (AL), Braves (NL)
Favorite MLB Player: Cal Ripken, Jr. (I named a son Ripken)
Favorite NFL Team: Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Born and raised in Tampa. Wish they had won the Super Bowl in the Creamsicle unis)
Favorite NBA Team: Boston Celtics
Favorite NHL Team: Tampa Bay Lightning
Favorite College: Florida, (Arizona in basketball)
One place in the World you would like to visit: Italy
GM "Style": Depends. I believe in winning now when it is possible but won't mortgage the team's future to do so. Love to build with youth when possible, but that is currently taking far too long. I really don't trade much, largely because it seems that I value my own players more highly than perhaps I ought to. It is that "fiercely loyal" thing.
Why do you love online baseball? HUGE stats geek. Have always loved the numbers game since getting my first Baseball Almanac in 1981. Used to fill notebooks with numbers as a kid. Was in heaven when Earl Weaver Baseball first came out. Followed by Tony LaRussa. Then found these turkeys in 1997 and joined the old NACBA while also joining a college Strat-o-matic league. I've been hooked ever since. Used to try to expand the financials of the older leagues before it was included to increase "realism." That's the fun part to me. It is like really running a baseball team, and who wouldn't love doing that? Plus, you create an alternate reality that seems to become real to those of us in the league and to nobody else on the planet. You are the only people I can discuss my man crush on Ted Sale with and not be thought ridiculous!

Jeff
You'll love Scotland. We did Glasgow and Edinburgh a long time ago.
This spring we spent two weeks driving around the Hebrides Islands - Mull, Skye, Lewis, & Harris (via ferries, of course) and the Scottish Highlands - Ullapool, Inverness, Fort William, Loch Ness, etc.
It was grand!
