It is really quite the place. There are quite a few interesting shows here, and the price is really very reasonable. Lots of time share. The outdoor stuff here is quite nice for those who are into that also. In fact, that's how the town grew up. People were coming here to fish and camp, and someone decided to give them some entertainment. Now, the outdoor part is largely secondary. Honestly, it is not a place that I would bring my family for vacation, but I'm glad people do since I make my living here!

The theatre community here is very supportive of one another, and we all have reciprocal agreements with one another. So, I get into pretty much everything for free, along with my family, and that includes Silver Dollar City, which is a really nice theme park. Pretty cool.
That's awesome, thanks for the info.

Holy crap did we know you were from WI? We've got a nice little WI group here now (Myself, Recte, Jeff Kloes, Mike B, etc). Where in Mil-town did you grow up? Matt and I are from Oconomowoc proper (well, Matt was from the streets of Ashippun).

I did not realize there were so many people from WI here until I read the other bios. I lived in many places in the Milwaukee area up until 1982. Let's see if I can remember them all:

1. Lived off of W Appleton Avenue over by Timmerman Airport for a couple of years.
2. West Allis
3. Cudahy
4. Wauwatosa

Cudahy was the last place I lived before we moved to St. Louis, Mo (ugh) for a job my Dad took. Gotta say I despised living there but up until March of this year I was never able to get out of that hell hole. Moved to the KC area because my wife is from here and I was able to transfer here for my job. We try to get back to Milwaukee for Irish Fest in August. We did talk about moving back to Wisconsin but unfortunately there was no way I could transfer with my current employer, so KC it was.
